Types of projects


The John Paul II Foundation takes action on two types of projects :
Training projects and development projects.

Training projects that require important educational equipment, the purchase of technical or building materials, are classified in the development category.

Training projects are the priority as stipulated in the article 3 :

« The John Paul II Foundation’s objective is to promote the training of people at the service of their country their brothers, without any discrimination, in a spirit of a full and solidary human promotion to fight against the desertification and its causes, to help the victims of the drought in the Sahel Countries. »

We present you by order of priority the fields of intervention of the Foundation :

Environnement, écologie


Formation : Etude des sols, foresterie, études d’aménagement des terroirs, … Réalisation : Reboisement, pépinière, digues anti érosives, digues anti sel, conservation des eaux et des sols(CES), agroforesterie (AGF), …

Hydraulic, exhaustion means


Training : Hydraulic, irrigation, control and management of water points, … Development : Wells, drilling, small water reservoirs, irrigation work, drip systems, technical popularization,…

Agriculture, market gardening Examples of intervention


Training : Agronomy, plant protection,… Development : farms, market gardening, composting, farm equipment, inputs, horticulture …

Husbandry, fishing, fish trade, animal health Example of intervention

Renewable and alternative energy

Communities animation

Young and women self-promotion


Training : Projects management, home economics, development. Development : Income-generating activities (IGA), cereal banks, mills, fruits and vegetables transformation, micro-credits…
