The German Bishops’ Conference GBC:
The funds raised by the Pope John Paul II during his historic call the 10 May 1980 from Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso in West Africa, are largely invested in Germany.
These funds are administered free of charge by the German Bishops’ Conference (GBC). This is thanks to the interests generated by this capital that the John Paul II Foundation for the Sahel operates and finances projects.
The German Bishops’ Conference is hence always invited as observer to the Boards of Directors of the John Paul II Foundation for the Sahel.
